Pull-Up Leather
This is a long-lasting full-grain leather that has been treated with oils and waxes during its tanning process. This treatment results in the characteristic "pull-up" effect: when the surface is stretched, bent, or crumpled, its color will temporarily show lighter undertones, creating the rugged, vintage appearance that pull-up leather is famous for.
Due to the waxing and oiling treatment, this premium leather is immensely durable and water-resistant, yet it remains soft, supple, and flexible. Bracelets and cuffs made of this material show a typical matte, velvety surface and develop a rich, unique patina as they age—a true hallmark of pull-up leather.
Please note that this high-quality vegetable-tanned leather is produced without using harsh chemicals, making it far more sustainable and biodegradable than chrome-tanned leathers. Unlike coated leather, it retains its natural, open pores and breathable surface, making it very pleasant on the skin while you wear it.
How to best care for Pull-Up Leather
Due to its specific treatment, pull-up leather may scratch more easily than other types of leather. However, it can also be recovered more easily. To address minor marks, simply rub the scratch with the tip of your finger. The warmth of your skin naturally "pulls up" the oils and waxes embedded in the leather, making most scrapes disappear almost immediately.
While some deeper scratches may not vanish completely, they simply become part of the patina—unlike on other leathers. This enhances the distinctive, rugged character of your bracelet over time.
