DISTINCTIVE FEATURES OF THE »AMSTERDAM« LEATHER BRACELET
- Handcrafted Quality: Solid, custom-fit making using sustainable, vegetable-tanned full-grain leather.
- Exceptional Style: Avant-garde rivet design inspired by the Amsterdam coat of arms.
- Timeless Symbolism: The triple St. Andrew's Cross historically represents protection, bravery, and courage.
A Strong Statement with Style and Symbolism
Leather bracelets featuring diagonal cross elements have always possessed a fascinating allure and were worn in Europe as early as the Middle Ages. The X-shaped St. Andrew's Cross, originally honoring the Apostle Andrew, historically stands for protection, courage, and the acceptance and overcoming of challenges. Today, you can still find it not only as the »Triple X« on the coat of arms of Amsterdam but also on many national flags, such as those of Scotland or Jamaica.
But whether you love it for its symbolism or simply for its cool, distinctive look: You, too, can make a strong statement with this handcrafted genuine leather wristband!

NEED HELP FINDING THE CORRECT SIZE?
Use a tailor's measuring tape or a strip of paper and wrap it around your wrist to determine your wrist circumference (or wrist girth). If you use paper, make a mark where the strip overlaps. Measure from that mark to the end of the paper, and you will have your wrist circumference. Now, add an extra 1.5 to 2 inches (4 to 5 centimeters) to that measurement. This is your desired bracelet size, which depends on how tight or loose you prefer the fit.
EXAMPLE:
If you measured a wrist circumference of 16 centimeters and prefer a rather snug fit, add 4 centimeters and order a 20-centimeter bracelet. If you prefer a slightly looser fit, add an extra centimeter, and order a 21-centimeter bracelet.
If you are uncertain or want a little more sizing flexibility, you can also opt to add a dual snap closure for comfortable size adjustment.

Pull-Up Leather
This is a long-lasting full-grain leather that has been treated with oils and waxes during its tanning process. This treatment results in the characteristic "pull-up" effect: when the surface is stretched, bent, or crumpled, its color will temporarily show lighter undertones, creating the rugged, vintage appearance that pull-up leather is famous for.Due to the waxing and oiling treatment, this premium leather is immensely durable and water-resistant, yet it remains soft, supple, and flexible. Bracelets and cuffs made of this material show a typical matte, velvety surface and develop a rich, unique patina as they age—a true hallmark of pull-up leather.
Please note that this high-quality vegetable-tanned leather is produced without using harsh chemicals, making it far more sustainable and biodegradable than chrome-tanned leathers. Unlike coated leather, it retains its natural, open pores and breathable surface, making it very pleasant on the skin while you wear it.
How to best care for Pull-Up Leather
Due to its specific treatment, pull-up leather may scratch more easily than other types of leather. However, it can also be recovered more easily. To address minor marks, simply rub the scratch with the tip of your finger. The warmth of your skin naturally "pulls up" the oils and waxes embedded in the leather, making most scrapes disappear almost immediately. While some deeper scratches may not vanish completely, they simply become part of the patina—unlike on other leathers. This enhances the distinctive, rugged character of your bracelet over time.
Please Note: Leather is a natural material and all my accessories are handmade items. Slight deviations to the article shown in the images are possible, as each of these carefully crafted bracelets is a unique, made-to-order item.
