About my Craft: How I Choose and Test Materials
All my keychains are designed with great care and attention to detail, I personally handcraft each piece using traditional methods. Before a new model is added to the collection, I put it through rigorous »stress tests«, using it under real, authentic everyday conditions. If necessary, it's then modified, improved, and tested again before finally being listed in the shop. This meticulous process ensures that every item meets my high quality standards, which is especially important for my textile keychains, as fabrics are naturally not quite as robust as leather.
I experimented extensively with various webbing types until I found materials that offer an excellent combination of grip, resilience, and durability. The common, coarse PP synthetic fiber webbing, often used for similar keychains, is not an option for me, as I find it stiff and unpleasant. That's why I exclusively use extremely robust cotton canvas straps and silky-soft, highly stable seatbelt webbing in beautiful colors.
Many of my fabric keychains are perfectly suited to be worn comfortably on your wrist, leaving your hands free for other things. For some of them, though, the loop simply serves as an opening or handle, to grap and carry the keychain.
